Business visa in Vietnam

Hi DMS Law office in Vietnam! Could you advise me new regulations regarding types of business visas in Vietnam ?

Business visas are issued to for legitimate business travelers entering Vietnam to work with Vietnamese enterprises as business partners, to exchange information, sign agreements, discuss strategies for development, cooperation.

Vietnam visa

Visa means a document issued by a competent authority of Vietnam to a foreigner to grant entry into Vietnam (Clause 11 Article 3 Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of foreigners in Vietnam No. 47/2014/QH13).

Types of Vietnam business visas

According to Clause 3 Article 1 Law No.51/2019/QH14 dated 25 November 2019, comes into effect from 01 July 2020, there are 02 types of business visa in Vietnam:

DN1- issued to foreigners who come to work with enterprises, other organizations that have legal status in accordance with Vietnamese law;

DN2- issued to foreigners who come to offer services, set up commercial presence, perform other activities according to international treaties to which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a contracting party.
