Law on Commercial Arbitration in Vietnam No. 54/2010/QH12 dated June 17, 2010, took effects on January 01, 2011 (replaced Ordinance on Commercial Arbitration in Vietnam No. 08/2003/PL-UBTVQH11 dated February 25, 2003).

This Law prescribes contents, such as:

Arbitration's jurisdiction to settle disputes;

Identification of courts which have competence over arbitral activities;

Loss of the right to protest;

Forms of arbitration agreement;

Invalid arbitration agreements;

Petitions and enclosed documents;

Formation of ad hoc arbitration councils;

The arbitration council's jurisdiction to collect evidence;

Contents, form and validity of an arbitral awards and many other provisions.
