If a document in a foreign language contains content that is contrary to law or social ethics, is it possible to authenticate the signature of the person who directly made the document at a competent agency in Vietnam?
Cases in which signature authentication is not permitted:
Papers and documents signed by the requester for authentication have the contents specified in Clause 4, Article 22 of this Decree.
The original has contents contrary to law or social ethics; propagandize, incite war, oppose the socialist regime of Vietnam; distort the history of the Vietnamese people; offend the honor, dignity and reputation of individuals and organizations; civil rights violations (Clause 3, Article 25 of Decree 23/2015/ND-CP dated February 16, 2015).
Therefore, a person making a document in a foreign language with contents contrary to law or social ethics cannot get his/her signature authenticated at a competent agency in Vietnam./.
