Law on Land in Vietnam No. 45/2013/QH13 dated November 29, 2013, took effect on July 01, 2014 (replaced the Law on Land No. 13/2003/QH11 dated November 26, 2003 and Resolution No. 49/2013/QH13 dated June 21, 2013).

Some noticeable provisions are:
Land users (Article 5);
Principles of land use (Article 6);
Persons who are assigned management over land for which they shall be responsible before state (Article 8);
The State shall decide on land prices (Article 18), administrative maps (Article 30), land lease (Article 56), land recovery for national defense or security purpose (Article 61), enforcement of land recovery decisions (Article 71), compensation for land when the State recovers residential land (Article 79, principles of support upon land recovery by the State (Article 83) and other new provisions.
