Good afternoon DMS Law firm in Vietnam! Are foreign companies allowed to establish commercial presence in Vietnam ? Can your law office advise on the establishment of a branch of foreign company in Vietnam ?

Foreign traders are permitted to set up Representative offices, Branches in Vietnam in accordance with commitments of Vietnam in international treaties to which Vietnam is a member.
Each foreign trader shall not be permitted to establish more than one Representative office (RO) or Branch with the same name in the same province, centrally-run city (Article 3 Decree No. 07/2016/NĐ-CP dated January 25, 2016 detailing The Commercial law on Representative office, Branch of foreign trader in Vietnam).
